    Mens 2014 Grand FinalAfter last year’s victory Grand Final for the Urunga Raiders, the excitement continues in 2015 with a strong line up of club players, coaches and volunteers at all levels from Seniors to Juniors.  Everyone in the district is welcome and your efforts appreciated at Urunga Football. We hope you can join us in the forthcoming season.

    As a player, we encourage you to register early.  For juniors there are early payment discounts and freebies.

    For seniors, training has already started!! The senior women commenced their training Thursday 29 January – with a 6.15pm for a 6.30 start.

    Even if you are not directly involved with the club, welcome and thank you for your support.  We encourage you to come along and support our games, especially our juniors as they develop their skills towards becoming our future Raider champions!

    5-7 years –4 per team – everyone has fun learning basic skills!
    8-9 years – 7 per team non-competitive comp playing other local teams (girls or unisex)
    10-11 years – 9 per team non-competitive comp playing other local teams (girls or unisex)
    12-17 years – 11 per team competitive comp – male and female teams
    Seniors – Urunga has a premier and reserve team in both the men and women’s comp so if you are keen to get back into football give us a call!

    Free shorts and socks to ALL junior players.
    (available end March as we are ordering a new strip)

    Registration day at Morgo St Southern fields on 14 February 2015 – 9am to 12 pm. Birth certificate required for all new players.
    Discounted fees for junior players registered and paid by 28 February

  • Northern NSW State Cup Finals – June 21 and 22

    The Urunga Raiders have once again made the quarter finals and will look to defend their 2013 title in the Northern NSW State Cup this weekend.

    4 teams from Newcastle will play off against 4 teams from Northern Zones at BCU International Stadium, Coffs Harbour.

    Saturday June 21 – Quarter-Finals

    2pm
    Urunga Raiders v South Cardiff Gunners
    Inverell Joeys v Cooks Hill United

    3.30pm
    Boambee Bombers v New Lambton Eagles
    Lismore Workers v Broadmeadow Magic

    The winners of each game will play off in the Semi-Finals on Sunday morning at 10am.

    The final kicks off at 2pm Sunday.

    Free entry all weekend!

  • MiniRoos Cancelled due to Rain

    Unfortunately, due to rain, MiniRoos will NOT be held this morning at Urunga. We apologise to all those excited kids who were hoping for lots of fun, however feel that Mum’s & Dad’s may appreciate not having to deal with lots of mud!!

    All clubs are welcome

    Where: Southern Fields, Morgo St, Urunga

    When: 9:00 -11:30 am Saturday, 31 May 2014

    Format:

    ·       There will be a u6 division and u7 division

    ·       each game will be 20 min (2 x 10 min halves)

    ·       4 players on field per team

    ·       each team will play 3 games

    ·       There are no team nomination fees but each team will be required to supply a “game leader”  for 1 or 2 games

    ·       Please confirm nominations to Cathy Jarrett by 23 May 2014

     

    On the day there will be a canteen operating as well as a BBQ with
    bacon & egg, sausage and steak sandwiches
